Find and create design-focused lesson plans, talk to educators from around the country, and more.
DESIGN KIDS workshops at Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum introduce children and adults to the world of design through gallery conversations, design workshops, and the opportunity to work side by side with contemporary designers.
Programs provide an approach to looking at and talking about design that enable people of all ages and all levels of experience to see design all around us. Families explore current exhibitions at Cooper-Hewitt, then create their own design based project inspired by works on view from fashion to architecture to graphic design, in a hands-on workshop. DESIGN KIDS Workshops are geared to be flexible for children from ages five to thirteen and their parents/caregivers.
