The weaving centers of northern France specialized in textiles for luxury travel vehicles: planes, trains, and cruise ships. This Cubist-inspired pattern, suggestive of a cityscape, brought a sense of modernity to the travel experience. The piece is woven in an exceptionally rich palette, with very subtle color combinations in the velvet pile.
