These miniatures, selected from a group of twenty acquired by the Museum, represent nearly fifty years of Sheila Hicks's extraordinary career. Created on a small portable loom she carries when traveling, each is a reflection on a particular time and place, as well as a technical experiment, exploring new materials and infinite variations on interlacing threads.
