text="<B>Jury 2002</B><BR><BR><BR><BR><B>Rob Forbes</B> is the founder and Chief Design Officer of Design Within Reach, a catalog, Internet, and studio retailer of both classic and new modern design furniture, lighting and accessories. With 20 years of marketing experience that includes executive positions at Williams-Sonoma and Smith & Hawken, Forbes is also an accomplished artist who has exhibited nationally and is the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship.<BR><BR><B>Richard Gluckman,</B> principal, Gluckman Mayner Architects, has designed a wide range of institutional, commercial, and residential projects around the world. Known for its rigorous approach to architecture on every scale, Gluckman Mayner Architects' notable projects include the Dia Center for the Arts in New York, the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Current museum projects include the Picasso Museum in Malaga, Spain; an exhibition space for the Mori Art Center in Tokyo; and The Austin Museum of Art in Texas. <BR><BR><B>Walter Hood</B> is an Associate Professor and Chair of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning, University of California, Berkeley. Trained both as an architect and a landscape architect, Hood has worked in a variety of settings including community design, urban design, planning, and research. A recipient of the Rome Prize in 1997, he has published several monographs and exhibited and lectured both nationally and abroad. <BR><BR><B>Reed Krakoff</B> is President and Executive Creative Director for Coach. As head of design for bags, furniture, shoes, clothing, jewelry, he is responsible for shaping the Coach brand globally and for the company's advertising campaigns. Prior to Coach, Krakoff held the position of Senior Vice President of Marketing, Design and Communications at Tommy Hilfiger USA. He was awarded the coveted American Fashion Award for 2001 Accessories Designer of the Year.<BR><BR><B>Sheila Levrant de Bretteville</B> is Professor and Director of Studies in the Graphic Design Department at Yale University's School of Art. De Bretteville is a pioneer in a form of public art that uses typography and environmental design to reflect the communities in which her work takes place. Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and numerous collections across the country.<BR><BR><B>Frank Nuovo</B> is Creative Director and Designer for Vertu, a subsidiary of Nokia, and the founding head of the Nokia design team. Nuovo is the driving force behind Nokia's styling and global design innovations and the Vertu product launch. At Nokia, he applies his design expertise to all aspects of product development, from conceptualization to the final presentation. His work has been featured at the Museum of Modern Art and the Neus Museum Nurnberg Sammlung Design.<BR><BR><B>Robyn Waters</B> is Vice President of Trend Merchandising for Target, where she is responsible for the overall company trend direction for all 1,055 Target stores in 47 states. She and her 'trend team' scout the world to keep informed of what is new and innovative in the world of design. They collaborate with product development and design teams as well as with merchants to translate those trends into unique products that appeal to Target consumers.";
