Join us for an exclusive tour of two newly re-created tapestries by textile artist Sheila Hicks at the Ford Foundation’s New York headquarters. Commissioned in the 1960’s by the building’s architects, Kevin Roche and John Dinkaloo, Hicks originally created two honey-comb like tapestries for the boardroom and auditorium. Over time, the textiles deteriorated and, in 2013, Hicks and her team re-created the hand-woven works in her Paris studio using more than 1000 medallions.
