Cooper Hewitt’s highly anticipated exhibition, The Jazz Age: American Style in the 1920s, will be on view from April 7 to August 20, 2017, and the museum is searching for enthusiastic, personable volunteers to help promote membership during this period. Membership volunteers help serve as the first point of contact for visitors, and as important representatives of the only museum in the nation devoted exclusively to historic and contemporary design.
Membership volunteers are required to commit to a weekly minimum of two four-hour shifts, either during the week or on the weekends, from April 7-August 20, 2017, in the Great Hall of Cooper Hewitt or at other parts of the museum, as requested by the Membership department. Volunteers are also required to be knowledgeable of the museum’s membership and programmatic offerings. Duties include answering questions about the museum and its membership, providing complimentary admissions for members, promoting specific membership campaigns, and selling memberships on site, among other tasks.
